Whois and Business Information
While using whois.com, we learned that the registrant information for meds4gen.com is set to private. The only information that is available to us is that the registrant comes from Iceland. Already this raises an immediate red flag as registrant information should be available for websites that offer medicine. Additionally, we learned that meds4gen.com was registered earlier this year, and that is considered indicative of a scam but is not necessarily considered absolute proof.
However, their website does list a physical address which is: Sunshine Complex, Mota Varachha, Surat, Gujarat 394101. No country code was listed for their physical address but a quick Google search showed it to be in India. Additionally, no phone numbers were listed, and that right there is a major red flag.
Better Business Bureau and Scamadviser.com Profiles
There was no listing with the Better Business Bureau as they cover businesses in Canada, Mexico, and The United States.
Scamadviser.com does give the website a score of 82 out of 100. However, their detailed review of the website shows that the website is very young. Like its domain being registered earlier this year, this is indicative of being a scam but not necessarily absolute proof.
Products, Pricing, and Shipping
Meds4gen.com sells on its website drugs for a specific listing of illnesses and conditions. These include cancer, covid-19. They also sell medications for men’s health and women’s health. The drugs they sell are listed as generic.
Prices for their medication are set in a range depending upon how much of the medicine you need. Some of the prices are as low as $40 while other prices are $500 or more. You can also buy in bulk. However, there were no discounts and buying in bulk can get very expensive.
Upon checkout, you can pay a flat shipping fee of $30 or can choose free shipping. This is confusing as it doesn’t express what the difference between the two meaning whether one was faster than the other. You can pay through credit card or use PayPal.
Their return/refund policy is pretty much a keep an eye on the clock. If you report damaged goods within eight weeks then they can work with you. If you report anything after eight weeks then they’ll do nothing. After reading through their return/refund policy it was pretty much clear that they prefer to do a reshipment of your prescription. They make it pretty clear that refunds will take time to deliver to you. Making it hard for you to get a refund is only another red flag.
Meds4gen.com Reviews
Websites such as trustpilot.com allow users to leave reviews on the websites they visit. Currently, trustpilot.com has given meds4gen.com a rating of 4.5 out of 5. Third party websites such as trustpilot.com do offer some protection against users who are paid to leave positive reviews.
This doesn’t mean however that you should trust user reviews completely. The most interesting thing of note is that there are no negative reviews for meds4gen.com. This raises a red flag as any and every business out there has at least one or two reviews.
Regulatory Approvals
Meds4gen.com has no license to sell medications in the United States. What’s more is that meds4gen.com is not listed with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy nor are they listed with LegitScript.com. Websites that sell medications here in the United States should be licensed and or acknowledged with regulatory agencies. Legitimate online pharmacies will work with regulatory agencies as well as having their licenses accessible.
Criticisms
Overall, the website is very busy meaning the designers have crammed a great deal for people to see. Scammers often use this tactic in order to immediately capture your attention and if that happens then its more likely that you’ll make a quick purchase. Also their FAQ was sort of hidden in their footer. What surprised us considerably was their contact page. All it listed was their email address and their physical address. There was no telephone number we could find.
Conclusion
Meds4gen.com is one of those websites that you have to absolutely stay away from. There are too many red flags. They sell to Americans but have an address listed way over in India. Their whois information is also anonymous meaning you can’t track down any of their management should you encounter a very serious problem. Their prices are considerably expensive and not really at bargain basement value. They have no licenses or acknowledgement from regulatory agencies like the NABP. The list goes on.
All in all, we give this website a 1.8 out of 5 stars. Stay away from this website. This is not a legitimate website.
