Domain Information
According to whois.domaintools.com, the website was first created on November 10, 2016, and has been active since then. It has had a few updates upon its expiry and is set to expire on November 9, 2019. This domain is approximately two years old. Therefore based on its age and activity, we could find a reason to label it as a Scam website. However what is worrying about the website is that it is using a service to hide identity. This is a trend used by most scam websites and therefore think that the website is fake.
Related Websites
As a trend with most scam websites, this website contains numerous other Mirror Websites. Interestingly, these websites share the same web layout, same URL, and same email address. This is a clear indication that all these websites are managed by the same person with the same motive of scamming people.
Some of the related websites include:
-
- safehotpillstore.com
- sundrugstore.com
- euromedicshop.net
- prescriptionsm.com
According to Scamadviser, this website is US based but could be from Russia, a high-risk country. Most scam websites are associated with high-risk countries and we think that purerxpills.com is fake.
Business Profile
According to whois.domaintools.com, Purerxpills.com has no meaningful business profile that makes it trustworthy. This is quite worrying given that the owner of the website uses a service to hide their identity. It is therefore difficult to locate the physical address of the website.
Most legitimate websites that deals with the sale of goods and services online are required to have their addresses available. Therefore we can only conclude from the information above that this website is rogue.
Legal Approvals and Certification
One way of determining the quality of a website is by checking its legal approvals and certifications. As a pharmacy that has been operational for two years, we expect that it is approved by various regulatory authorities. We tried checking it on both CIPA and LegitScript databases and to our surprise, it is not a member of any of the two agencies.
In fact, it has been listed on LegitScript as rogue meaning it could be involved in the sale of counterfeit or smuggled drugs. Therefore since it is not approved by any authority, we can only conclude that this website is fake.
Medications on sale
purerxpills.com claim to sell weight loss drugs, psychiatric drugs, and antibiotics. They also claim to sell drugs that minimize the side effects of cancer. This is quite rare since we haven’t seen such drugs. They also sell diabetes drugs, allergy drugs, and anti-inflammatory medications. The website also has drugs that reduce hair loss, anti-fungal medications, and asthma inhalers. Most of their drugs are generic. We couldn’t establish whether they sell over the counter drugs in their original packs.
Security
Purerxpills contains a row of lovely security icons at the bottom of the page. We tend to think that all these icons are fake and are only meant dupe unsuspecting visitors into shopping with them. Some of the icons include a 2016 generic medical icon, a BBB icon, a hacker free site icon, and a McAfee security icon. Since this website is highly suspicious, we doubt whether they provide the ultimate security for the users.
Furthermore, by having BBB icon, it means they are a reputable business within the US. However, a search on bbb.org doesn’t yield any results meaning it has no business name. this is the reason we highly doubt the security of the website and it is why we label it as a scam website.
Payment and Delivery
The website claims to accept:
- Visa
- MasterCard
- E-checks
They claim to offer worldwide deliveries for all orders. The pharmacy also claims to offer free shipping and requires the customer’s signature as soon as the drugs are delivered. They haven’t given a specific period a delivery and claim the delivery times depend on the country delivered to, the period of the year, national holidays and other factors beyond their control.
As a business that has been operational for two years, they should have at least given out a specific period of delivery to assure customers that their products will be delivered on time. They also claim to offer refunds for damaged or failed shipments at the choice of the concerned customer. Their deliveries are made through United States postal service, registered mail, and EMS courier. The fact that they haven’t provided, makes it highly risky and we highly doubt whether they make deliveries at all.
Customer Support
PureRxPills.com has a poor support team. They only have a phone number which they claim is toll-free. We think that the company should have incorporated a 24-hour chat panel where customers can easily and freely channel their inquiries and get solutions fast. They also ought to have incorporated an operational email address. In general, they ought to have several means of communications where customers can easily reach them in case they have inquiries. Given that they only have one means of communication is itself untrustworthy and suspicious of the website.
Purerxpills.com Reviews
The website has a testimonials page where they have listed a few reviews by customers that shopped with them. Most of these reviews are positive reviews, praising the website of the good services offered and quality products available as well as timely shipping of these products. Since this website is already untrusted, we couldn’t trust these reviews and this prompted us into searching for external reviews online. To our astonishment, the website doesn’t have any reviews online. This is quite worrying and only suggests that the website might be very new and not many customers have interacted with it.
Conclusion
This website bears all the characteristics of a rogue website. It isn’t registered with any regulatory body, is associated with a high-risk country, doesn’t have any reviews online, and uses a service to hide their identity. Scamadviser also suggests that there are suspicious elements surrounding the website since they haven’t provided clear information on their website.
Given the review, the website deserves a 1.8-star rating.
